Fantastical Firsts

So, here we are, creating another blog on another site, hoping to keep up with updating the content, and blogging specifically about a keen interest at that.

Fantasy books.

I am a lover of Fantasy books, from the epic to the urban to historical and modern, they all bring out the imagination and the noggins work overtime keeping up with the familiar and the fantastical. I love it. I talk about it all the time. I could write about it all day. Clearly one thing led to another and here I am, trying to use this online presence to do exactly that.

My current interests in fantasy cover everything from George RR Martin, JRR Tolkien and JK Rowling, to the Lisa Shearin, Ilona Andrews and Trudi Canavan. If it's well written, provides emotional and creative appeal, and has that je ne sais quoi, well then I would most likely read it and gush about it on the blog. Of course, I might hate on a few as well, but I trust it wouldn't be too much of a habit (if at all)!

Should I mention my favourite authors? Oh fine, I will. In no particular order (I probably won't remember them all right now):

Kristen Britain
Ilona Andrews
Lisa Shearin
Michelle Sagara (West)
Trudi Canavan
Scott Lynch
Patrick Rothfuss
JRR Tolkien
JK Rowling
George RR Martin
Robin Hobb
Brandon Sanderson

I do read non-fantasy books of course and here some of my favourite books:

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time
Catch 22
Of Mice and Men
Memoirs of a Geisha
Animal Farm
The Book Thief
The Little Prince

And many many more.

Anyway, welcome to my blog about the fantastical and fabulous. Please keep your shoes to the left and come in to explore somemore.
